Rich Muscatello, MS, PT

Rich earned both a Bachelors and Masters of Science degree in Physical Therapy from SUNY at Buffalo in 1981 and Daemen College in 2001 respectively. Since graduation, his years have been spent in physical therapy clinical practice serving individuals inconvenienced with orthopedic injuries and conditions involving the upper and lower extremities. In addition to extensive teaching experience at local college and university programs in physical therapy, he has lectured at local, state and national physical therapy conferences. Rich's current interest and educational pursuit involves integrating complementary health care practices such as Meditation, Mindfulness, Qigong and Yoga with local mainstream medicine in the enhancement maintenance and restoration of holistic health and well being.

Dianna Pugliese, PT
Co-Director
Dee graduated from SUNYat Buffalo with a BS in Physical Therapy in 1983 and has spent her career treating patients with orthopedic diagnoses in a private practice setting. In addition to treating patients, she has lectured extensively for Daemen and D’Youville Physical Therapy Programs on her area of interest, the foot and ankle. Her post-graduate education has consisted of courses on specific tissue-level training, manual therapy and the McKenzie approach in the treatment of spinal disorders. She will be seeing patients at the Orchard Park Facility on Tuesdays and Thursdays and the City Office on Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays.

A 1984 graduate of SUNY @ Buffalo with a BS in Physical Therapy, Terry has been at SportsFocus since 1988. In addition to her interest in musculoskeletal pathology of the extremities, she has previous experience in acute care, long-term care and home care. She has an interest in treating both the dancer and throwing athlete.

Paul graduated from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1987. He has worked at SportsFocus since 1990. In his capacity as center coordinator for clinical education, he manages incoming student interns from local colleges and universities.

Dave Manzella, PT, DPT, ATC
Dave is a 1991 graduate of SUNY at Buffalo with a B.S. in Physical Therapy and has been with the company since graduation. He completed his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Daemen College in 2006. Dave is also a Certified Athletic Trainer since 1997 with experience in sport and field coverage. Dave treats patients with both extremity and spinal diagnoses and has extensive post-graduate study in manual therapy and McKenzie treatment approaches.

Vic Santarelli, PT, Cert. MDT
Vic graduated from Daeman College in 1992 and has been practicing Orthopedic Physical Therapy ever since. Vic has sponsored courses and co-taught continuing education courses around the country. He treats patients with both extremity and spinal diagnosis and has extensive post graduate study in manual therapy with certification in mechanical diagnosis and therapy in the McKenzie treatment approach.

Amy is the newest member of our Buffalo office. She graduated in 2008 from Daemen College with a Doctorate in physical therapy. She has been practicing in outpatient orthopedics ever since and is currently enrolled in the Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy Fellowship Program at Daemen College. Amy also is a former collegiate gymnast and is actively involved in the sport of gymnastics coaching young junior Olympic athletes in the area.

Jim is a 1984 graduate of SUNYat Buffalo with a BS in Exercise Science and has worked with rehabilitation patients since his graduation. He obtained his Strength and Conditioning Certification (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association in 1990. Jim is responsible for ordering, fitting and servicing custom knee braces at our facility. He also is an integral part of our "Keep it Going Program", helping patients meet their fitness and rehabilitative goals.

Bob originally graduated from Buffalo State College with a BA in English. After working for 14 years, he began his second career here at SportsFocus upon graduating from Niagara County Community College in 2006. He is enjoying working with a primarily orthopedic patient base, but has exposure to pediatric and neurological patients through his clinical affiliations. Bob will also be mentoring students interested in the field of physical therapy when they visit our clinic.

Colleen graduated from Genesee Community College in 1999. Since then she has worked at SportsFocus as a Physical Therapy Assistant. Colleen also supervises PTA students from the Villa Maria College program.

Tammy Burck, PTA, LMT
Tammy is a Physical Therapy Assistant who graduated in 1994 from Niagara County Community College. Her past experience includes acute and sub-acute care orthopedics. Tammy is also a licensed Massage Therapist, a 2005 graduate of the NY Institute of Massage. She has her massage business within SportsFocus PT with appointments open to the community. She also practices in-home massage and services a sub-acute rehabilitation nursing home facility.

Alana graduated from Villa Maria College in 2009. She interned at Sportsfocus as a student and started working in the winter of 2009. She enjoys working with orthopedic based patients, but has exposure to and enjoys working with pediatric patients. Alana is continuing her education and is currently attending Daemen College to fulfill her future goal of becoming a physcial therapist.
